Win 98 user-level access and writing macros for Windows?

Hello all,

I have two problems that I'd be delighted with if anyone can help?

Firstly, I'm trying to write a macro to automate a backup procedure in
windows. I've had very little experience in programming/macros but all
I really need to
do is to make the macro mimic an enter keystoke on the "start" button
(and perhaps another) on the windows backup prog. I've looked around
if I can get the prog to start a backup itself, but it still requires
some manual commands. Can windows help in this situation or will I
have to write something in visual basic etc?

Secondly, I'm looking for a way to make a Windows network have
user-level access rather than with just passwords. More specifically,
the part in the network settings where it asks for a server/computer
name which has the master list of all user's access rights on it.
There's no documentation to explain this - i.e. where the file should
be stored on X computer, what format, if I actually store it myself
etc. I'm talking about just a Win98 network alone without Lantastic,
Netware etc.

Anyway, I'd be very appreciative if anyone could offer some help
thanks!
