Sorry.

Did you register your E-S account? If you did, reset the newsgroups. It's
there.

Yes you do. I read alt.windows7.general on that server.

Are you sure that newsgroup is about Windows 7? All I see is
people are discussing how wonderful Linux is (Alias) and Frank
will try to contradict him. There isn't much about Win7 there.

Put them in your kill file and you'll find that newsgroup to be a much
better place.

You must be joking. You will put everybody on your killfile and
there won't be anything else. That NG is full of filth and
nothing else. The only way is to eliminate Alias forever and the
problem is solved!

I don't use killfiles because people change their username/address and
will pop again. I choose to watch threads that could interest me and
ignore threads that don't interest me. Sometimes I will see a new
thread already with heaps of responses, so I view who has posted and
often ignore the thread depending on who has posted.

Milt,

Why did you bother to post your superfluous comment, "yes, you do." Do you
even bother to read previous posts ? Two days ago, Bruce Hagen advised the
Op that eternal-september carries the NG and how to find it.

I guess if we omitted all irrelevent posts, there would be little to read.

You'll get no argument from me about that. :-)

Use a newsreader (like Xnews or Agent) that includes ignore
subthread/branch. It is the most useful filter.

actually if there weren't new os then they would still be here. Thanks
to the guys that still here.
