Win 2000 SP4 - Could not connect to the printer

Hi,

I'm working on Win 2000 SP4. Ican't install network printer (HP). I'm
getting a message "Could not connect to the printer. You either entered a
Printer name that was incorrect ...". Is any one solve this problem.

Printer is connected to the network how?
Does the network printer have a internal NIC or external JetDirect?
Are you trying to make a TCP/IP connection to the printer or are you trying
to connect to a share?
