WIFI Card Freezes Mouse and /Keyboard

The Realtek rtl8185 card tests fine in another computer, I have changed
all pnp settings to legacy, removed all other cards for bare bones
start, swapped video card, there are no conflicts listed in
Diagnostics, tried the card in all 3 slots, but ps2 keyboard and mouse
freeze on POST. Can't get into bios with Del key either. A USB mouse
added on will work fine. So the conflict appears to be between this
WIFI card and the kbd/mse.

Done uninstall of Kbd, Mouse and Cards and rebooted.

XP finds and installs the WiFi card OK.

XP/2 OS, 512MB, 1.7MHZ

What next please????

Buy another card and see if it makes a difference. If possible, borrow
one from a friend (hopefully a diferent manufacturer) for a day or so to
investigate the problem.

I've borrowed another card and it works perfectly, so it it the
combination or Realtek card and this computer.

My problem is th $56 I invested in this card, I'm reluctant to throw it
away....

And while you are at it, reset all your bios settings to the default
settings. Leave the PNP settings alone.

Hi Jason -
Can't see what different drivers would solve - this is a POST problem,
incompatibility between the card and the MOBO (or it's settings.

Fiddling with BIOS settings is the only option I can see?

Ah, it freezes on POST.

Try updating your bios. Other that that, there isn't really much you can do
(since you've seemed to have tried everything)
