microsoft outlook) and it was fine, but then i got
microsoft office. my old email program was gone and
outlook replaced it. but now when people email my
account, it does not show up in my inbox in outlook? so
where are my emails going? how can i change it so that my
emails go into my outlook inbox? i went tools>email
accounts>new account> then it asks q's about servers and
what not, i am confused, can someone please help me any
response is helpful. ps( sorry for the lengthy question)

If you go to your old e-mail program and select File from the Menu Bar
and them select Export it should send all the info
over to Outlook.

You'll need to configure Outlook to work as your email client. I assume that
"the one you have before Microsoft Outlook" was Outlook Express.

If the settings are still in Outlook Express, you can import them. In
Outlook, under File, go to Import and Export. Choose "Import Internet Mail
Account Settings". On the screen that comes up, Outlook Express should be an
option.

You should be able to import your old messages the same way. If it works
properly, you should be able to open the email account in Outlook and see
all the information (server names, etc.).

Outlook may support importing from other email clients as well, but you'd
just have to try it.

Good luck.
