Why would I import a product list into Outlook 2003?

I'm a new user to Outlook 2003. What's the advantage to import product lists
into Outlook?

What's a product list? Who wants you to import one? What do you expect to
do it you succeed?
 
Perhaps you're looking at the features in Business Contact Manager? If
you're using it to manage business contacts, you might want to import a
product list to use in making proposals to current and prospective
customers.
