Why 's Windows Vista Crash at some stage?

I have Windows Vista and at some point over the month the System Crashes and
locks up. Also some point during the 24 hour period the Processor will make
some weird noise. Think its the processor anyway. It only happens once or
twice during a 24 hour period.

I have already run the Vista Upgrade Advisor and it says this systems
compatible with Vista. I built the machine last year.

I disabled System Restore as it swallows all your Hard Disk Space.

The hardware Specs of this Machine are below.

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+
2.01 GHz, 2.00GB of RAM
Physical Address Extension
RADEON X800GT Graphics Card
NVidia Nforce4 Sli Chipset Socket 754 (EPoX)
1 x 300GB HD (Primary)
1 x 160GB HD (Slave)

I have the MS desktop wireless Elite keyboard. It worked fine under XP, but
now the function keys turn off all the time. I guess it's every time the
computer sleeps.

How do I keep it turned on?

Thanks!

John
