Vista Crashes after approx 1 hour of playing MP3 music files every

I have Vista Ultimate installed on a system I built with a P5N32 SLI Premium
ASUS motherboard, Intel 6300 Processor and 2 gigs of Ram. The video card is
a EVGA 7950 Nvidia chipset.

Every time I try to play my MP3 music library the system crashes after
playing for an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. This happens weather I am
using Windows Media Player or Media center to play the music files.

I have noticed it is making some type of dump file. After the system
restarts I see a message that Windows has crashed due to some type of error
and Windows will notify me if a fix is available. This has been going on
for months now. I am ready to give up on this and try some other OS.

Where can I start to try to diagnose why this is happening? Help!

Hi,

If you haven't it tried it yet, I sugest going to the device manager and
making
sure you don't have a driver problem. Also, if you report the problem to
MS, (the error message should allow you to do this) they usually find as
much about the problem as they can and give you the info on it. This is
sometimes useful in fixing the problem.

Do you mean just looking in device manager to see if there is some kind of
flag that one of the drivers is marked as a problem?

How do I report it to Microsoft? The error message just says it will let me
know if there is a fix.

Thanks for the reply.
