Why reply at the bottom of posts?

figured you lost your cool since it's usually a sign of immaturity or
anger that people use that type of language when so many better ways
to express ones self exist

No, that is a sign of my Jersey suburban upbringing. We weren't little
pussy-boys about using the word "F*#K" in our humor.

But you have no sense of humor.

I game you a memo to "F*#K OFF," but I see you didn't take that memo as
a standand, and it didn't even expressly say that it "does not specify
an Internet standard of any kind." Yet you offered up your RFC memo as
a standand when it expressly said that it "does not specify an Internet
standard of any kind."

I was making a point through humor not anger, but you are mamby-pamby
that you get all upset over curse words.

When you were in the military, were you such a pansy over curse words?

That indeed is the same mentality that drives people to terrorism,
making huge leaps such as the one you just did!

How on earth can a discussion between how you quote someone's
electronic message, ever, ever relate to people justifying the acts
that kill innocent people??

It is the attitude that the subjective thing you believe in is right for
everyone, and anything else is wrong, instead of understanding that your
beliefs are only right for you as an individual, and that everyone else
has can come up with their own belief, and that is right for them as
individuals.

If the religious extremists believed in the latter, there would be a lot
less innocent people getting killed or getting their rights trampled on.

Now I'm starting to understand how Bush got re-elected!

Now that is funny, since much of his power base think intolerance is a
good thing, like denying gay people the right to marry who they want to.

and is supported by the very people that have given their lives for

choice - Military people specifically.

Freedom of choice as long as it doesn't interfere with Bush's religious

This argument basicly boils down to two types of people

Yes. Me, espousing personal choice, and Lameboy espousing conformity.

First the "I don't know about, and therefore don't want to adhere to
any standards" OE user type of person.

LOL! It has yet to be proven that there is a real standard.

Secondly, the "I invented the Internet, so do as I say" (what they're
doing in an XP newsgroup is a good question) type of person.

That does sound like Lamo.

At the end of the day, who gives a damn.

I don't give a damn about how anybody posts. That choice is up to each
individual.

OE users, please forgive what looks to be repetitive use of signatures, but
there are newsreaders out there that don't cope well with my modus
operandi.. this way, even though my OE signature is removed by these
'cowboy' programs , they will at least not forget who I am..

evolutionary scale. It is my experience that most of the people that
are prejudiced about the use of curse words, don't believe in evolution,

Don't be surprised that OE doesn't conform to USENET conventions.
It's really a mail client that has rudimentary news reading functions.
I certainly woulnd't refer to it as a newsreading program.
