Why MS antispy does'nt work by Win9x/ME?
This software is Giant Update. Giant work correctly with
those Operating System. This chosen is very strange.

Get used to it. As 9X/ME ends, developers will no longer write
code to support it. The new Adobe Reader 7.0 has no native 9X
ME support. Already Office 2003 is not compatible and more &
more applications will soon be Windows 5.0+ only.

That's not the point. MS Didn't "no longer write code to support it" they
specifically wrote code NOT to support it. If Giant supported it, then it
means MS actually went through and removed the 9x support. They didn't have
to add anything, they just had to not remove it...

It goes contrary to their stated support stance. If they release ASW
and allow 9X/ME support they are going against their own policies.
Why provide a tool for an operating system that is scheduled to be
discontinued/un-supported ?

Because its users deserve proper protection just as much as any other OS? I
thought the whole point of these security initiatives that MS is taking is
to instill in the customers a sense that "Microsoft cares"? Saying, "go buy
our new products, then you'll get protection" doesn't give me that feeling
at all.

9x isn't scheduled for non-support for a year and a half.
M$ went out of their way to squash 9x compatibility on
Giant's software. 'Why provide a tool for OS's scheduled
to be discontinued in a year and a half?' - Maybe to try
to put malware companies out of business in a year and a
quarter?
Stance my a$$.

ME is the worst operating system ever created

So because an OS is, in your opinion, "the worst" (I have over 2 weeks
uptime on my WinME machine btw), that means the users are not entitled to
adequate protection? Should all WinME users also uninstall their Virus
scanners? Whether it is a horrible or a great OS is irrelevant. What is
relevant is that a large number of people still run Win9x (and NT4 for that
matter, which is also not supported). These people are affected by spyware
and adware just as much as everyone else. If we want to actually stop
spyware, we need protections for *all* OSes, not just the newest and most
stable.
