Why is Windows XP Home not 'seeing' my DVD drives?

After installing XP home I downloaded a Cyberlink DVD decoderand installed
it. I have two LG DVD drives: GSA-4081b & GDR-8162b. Bith work fine and no
problems in the past. when I finished installing the decoder I opened the
program and went to look for the DVD that I wanted to view and couldn't find
it. I opened Windows Explorer and my two drives were not there. All other
drives and partitions are there, just not my two DVD drives. It shows a
conflict in the Device Manager and when opened it states that the drivers
have been loaded but Windows cannot find the drives physically. I immediately
uninstalled the DVD decoder program and did a System Restore to the previous
day and still, no drives. I uninstalled the drives from the Device Manager
and rebooted. When Windows loaded up it found new hardware and most likely
installed drivers for it. However, neither drive showed up in the explorer,
nor could I access them. The Found New Hardware Wizard showed the devices by
model #. Does anyone have any advice or ran into this problem before? I
bought an OEM copy of XP from TigerDirect and MS wont offer any support
