W Explorer can't see DVD drive

I've just replaced a DVD ROM drive with a new RW drive (Sony/Optiarc
AD5200A). Installed without any problem. Shows up in Device Manager as
working properly, but Windows Explorer can't see it. Help!

I'd like to make a correction to this post.
On closer examination of the Windows Explorer screen, I see looks like the
problem is less than I thought!
What has happened is that the new DVD RW drive has taken the drive letter
(D:) formerly allocated to a second internal hard drive (now E:, formerly the
DVD ROM drive).
How do I reestablish the original drive letter allocations, please?

Go into disk management and right click on the drive > "Change drive letter
and paths..."

You'll have to move one to a temporary letter, so that you can change the
other.

Thank you so much, Bill. That did the trick. I appreciate your prompt response.
