Why is Outlook synchronizing?

I set up a new mail account to use in Outlook 2003 and now I see in the lower
right hand side of my computer (by the time) that Outlook is "synchronizing
folders." I just have one computer. I must have hit something wrong...now how
do I stop it?

Thanks for your help.

Look up 'synchronize' in Help for lots of info including how to stop. You
might have one computer, but you have many folders.
