Why is new e-mail not going to Inbox?

All new e-mail is showing in the unread search folder but not in the Inbox.
Any answers?
 
The Unread Mail Search Folder s not a real foder; just a search query. Make
sure the view on your Inbox is not set to only display Read Items.

when this happens to me and it is often throughout the day, I right click on
inbox, then click on properties, the click on administration. From there I
click on all the buttons and my mail comes back again. It does not fix it
forever tho. I reindex my inbox several times a day. (Using Outlook 2003 on
XP). This might help you as well.
