Why is my navigation memory not working, after saving 2000 files?

I have FP 2000- my Navigation Mode will not continue saving files in
navigation after saving about 2000 files on my web. (they are not longer
added to the navigational structure) beyond the 2000 already there? Do I need
a newer version of FP. I was going to upgrad (again) however its almost 2006
and (the new)FP version 2003 is getting rather vintage is it not? Please
advise.

Your real problem is having too many pages in one site. You need to break
your site into multiple subsites, and then diagram each subsite.

I'm not sure if FP2003 would help with this problem but I suspect not.
FP2003 *is* a pretty good upgrade over FR2000, though.

As to FrontPage 12, the interval from first public beta to final ship was
about 8 months for FrontPage 2000, 2002, and 2003. And there's no public beta
for FrontPage 12 yet.
