FrontPage 2000 - Can't open files

Guest

I've been using FP for a while. In the past few days, I can't open ANY
previous webpage I have created.

Attempting to open a file causes the memory usage to go way up, the computer
gets slow, and after a few minutes, C+ library errors occur. Eventually, the
file is displayed on the screen - but saving does the same thing.

I need to update some of my pages on my sites - and can't !!
Why would FP do this?

XP; Front Page 2000 w/ SP-3; Norton Internet Security; Broadband (cable).

Right now, the only thing I can think of is to uninstall / reinstall - but I
can't find my CD. I don't remember if it came w/ the PC or not.

Has this error been reported before and patched?

Download FP Cleaner from http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm
and run the last two routines (Clear the hidden Cache files, and clear the
temporary files). The problem could be caused by a corrupted cache file.

The only other suspicious object is Norton - Try disabling Norton and see
if it makes a difference. NIS is often the culprit.
