Why does Outlook Express auto delete some attachments

I sent myself something very important from work to home
and my home Outlook Express auto deleted the attachment.

Why?

How can I change this? Is it a setting?

maybe,

go to tools-options-security, and see if the box "do not allow
attachments.... be a virus". if not, post for more help and hopefully
someone else can help you.
