Outlook Express 6 does not appear to be deleting emails and attach

My Outlook Express 6,running on XP, is over 1.5 GB. I went and (believe) I
deleted all my large emails (based on attachment size) for the Inbox and
Sent folders, then deleted these from the Delete folder.

The size of the Outlook Express folder did not decrease. What did I do
wrong? Maybe the attachments were not deleted?

Nothing will change until you compact the folders. Click on File > Folders >
Compact All Folders. Check file size after next system start.

Note: This newsgroup specializes in MS Outlook 97,98,2000,2002, 2003, and 2007.

You will be better served by posting your OE questions to a more relevant
