why does a .pdf link in access not open with acrobat reader 7.0

I created a document data base in access. In order to keep the database
itself quite small, I create links from the database to the documents.
Everything worked fine until I changed acrobat reader from version 6 to 7.0.
Now when I click on the link to a pdf file in my access database, the file
opens and then closes instantaneously.
Is there a way to fix the bug between both softwares?

I've seen several posts to this effect in the last few days, so you're
not alone. Unfortunately, I don't have AR 7 myself, so I can't test it,
and I haven't seen any responses to those posts yet. The best advice I
can give you is to search Google and Google Groups for related pages and
messages.
