Why do I keep receiving the same e-mails in my inbox?

I recently switched from using web based Sympatico to Outlook. Can someone
help me fix this problem? Whenever I get a new e-mail, it keeps appearing in
my Outlook inbox as a new unread message over and over until I go into my
Sympatico webmail and delete it there. How do I get it so that deleting a
message in Outlook deletes it from my account completely?

Try this:

Go to:
Tools | E-mail accounts | View or change existing accounts |

Choose the name of the account and click CHANGE |
Click the MORE SETTINGS button |
Click the ADVANCED tab | Uncheck the box next to "Leave a copy of messages
on the server"
