I am using Microsoft Outlook 2003 on my laptop and Microsoft Outlook Express
on my desktop...this problem exists on both my laptop and my desktop
computer. My ISP is Bell sympatico...they tell me that they cannot help me
with this problem.

I am not able to receive emails in my Outlook Inbox but able to send. I am
able to receive emails in my Inbox when I log onto my sympatico account
through hotmail.

I am using Windows XP.
More info:
Incoming mail server (POP3) set up: pophm.sympatico.ca
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) set up : smtphm.symaptico.ca

No error message is shown when I send a test email to myself through
Outlook. As well, when I click "Test Account Settings" within Outlook..no
errors. Please help!

Dear Anna,

I found this site with special (security) settings for "sympatico" e-mail
accounst.

Please check your settings with this site:

"Configuring your incoming email client for Sympatico/Hotmail: fetchmail"
http://download.gna.org/hpr/fetchmail/FAQ/sympatico-hotmail-pop-howto.html

Maybe you can try another free e-mail provider, to see that the reason for
your problem is not a problem of Outlook or Outlook Express.

Did you check your settings with this website:

How to configure Outlook?
http://upgradecentre.sympatico.ca/FAQGuide.aspx?p=FAQ_GO

"How to configure Outlook Express 6 for use with a Sympatico e-mail account"
http://technology.sympatico.msn.ca/...=0&showbyline=False&subtitle=&detect=&abc=abc

As special the different ports (995 for POP3) and that the server needs a
secure (SSL) connection?

Maybe it helps.
