why do i have t to hit ctrl + shift + 8 to read email

Some emails come in blank and I have to hit ctrl + shift + 8 to read...how do
I get this off my incoming emails?

That means the message is marked as hidden text.

Does it happen to every HTML message or just some? Are you using an
antivirus scanner on incoming email?
