Why can you not import multiple video files into Movie Maker?

When I select multiple video files to import into Movie Maker it appears that
it is adding them however only one shows up in the Collection window when
finished. Why can one not select a group of video files and add them at the
same time to the Time Line?

================================
If you import several clips at the same time
you should see a folder for each one in your
left pane under Collections. If you want all the
clips in the same folder you can Drag/Drop
them into the folder you like and then delete
the other empty folders.

Yes... one would think. Even searching on the web says that you should be
able to do this. However, it does not work. It only grabs that last one of
the selected files and puts them in the window...

Bad news...here's a link to a thread from Jan 2009
from a user with the same issue. I suspect it was
caused by something that was installed, uninstalled
or updated but I've never seen a fix for it.
