Which DLL????

M

Mark Lafferty

Does anyone know which DLL file(s) controls the print_fax available layouts?
I have lost the layout selection within XP native products like notepad or
photo printing wizard. Other apps display available printing layouts, just
not the native XP apps.

Thanks for your help!!!!

If the DLL in question is a System file, you can run the File Checker
which will replace missing or corrupt system files.
Start>Run>type SFC /SCANNOW (space between the C and /) press OK
Have your XP CD handy for it may ask for it to reinstall the files.
SFC=System File Check

Mark,

Here are the things that I can think of:

1. See if renaming the following file helps:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application
Data\GDIPFONTCACHEV1.DAT

2. Reinstall the printer drivers

3. Run SFC /Scannow to restore missing system files.

I cannot find my installation CD's, and I need to set-up direct faxing from
my computer, and I'm missing the file "fxscfgwz.dll", can you help me locate
it?
