Which colour printer to buy?

I need a buy a colour printer for home use. Which one or ones should I chose to minimise toner cost by being able to refill the cartridges myself. Which is a good toner supplier?

We've got a Dell laser printer and I really like it, although never filled up the toner cartridges manually. We tend to buy generic replacement cartridges rather than Dell branded ones and never had a problem.

How much use will the printer be getting, and what kind of functionality do you need?

Are you specifically after a laser printer? Most of them have compatible toner cartridges available, and that is much more convenient than refilling toner carts yourself (toner is nasty/messy stuff!).

I just buy compatible toner cartridges from Amazon and it costs something like £30 for a set of 4. They last me a very long time and the quality is fine .
