Where's my photo editor? HELP!

Just went through a re-installation of my entire operating program when the
motherboard and processor was replaced. My backup file is on the computer
with Microsoft Photo Editor in it BUT it does not show up on the computer's
new files when I go to search.

When I use to the edit button - I get Paint which I have never seen before
and do not want.

I am a newspaper jounalist and photographer and really like the photo editor
that I was used to. Everything was reinstalled at the computer shop this
morning and I can't figure out why the photo editor isn't there. Help,
please!!!! I need it back for a deadline.

Microsoft PhotoEditor was part of the Office 97,
Office2000 and Office XP suites. It has been
replaced in Office 2003 by the Microsoft Office
Picture Manager.

Thank you for the info John,
How can I acquire it now?? Is there a way? It's in my back-up files, but I
can't access it. Is there any download I can get?

Apparently you previously had one of the
MS Office Suites....you could reinstall from
that.

I'm not aware of a download.

Maybe these MSKB articles will offer some clues:

Hi John,
thanks once again. The link you sent to the Photo Editor page was very
helpful. I put in the original disk and followed the instructions. I am up
and running!!!
What a relief!
