After installation of XP over the Me I had on my
computer, my documents and email disappeared, but I can
get to it if I sign in under my husband's name. The
trouble is that his configuration hasn't got my desktop
icons. How do I get to my documents and my old Outlook
Express that has all my email on it? Right now all I can
get to is an empty Outlook Express and Documents with
nothing in it!!!!!!!

Hi Brenda,

What is your message store in OE set to? OE/Tools/Options/Maintenance/Store
Folder

Here are some checkpoints:

Close OE. Then go to Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/View/Show Hidden
files and folders. Then do a Search for *.dbx...Open OE/File/Import. Be
sure to set search options to search hidden files, folders and system
folders. Inbox is under a hidden folder.
