Hi Guys,

This is my first post on these forums, and so far i have to say im impressed with the level of knowledge which is spread across the threads ive read...

I was scanning the net trying to find reviews on 'CyberPowerSystems.co.uk' im planning on buying a gaming rig in a month or so and have heard some real horror stories about people buying systems from the wrong company, so im very keen on doing my research and finding a reliable, popular site...
I am very keen on a number of the rigs advertised on the cyber power site, but thought id better check with some fellow PC users as to whether they are as reliable as they seem...
I actually found this forum after googling a cyberpower search and found a thread from this forum, where a guy called A'tuin was querying where to get his new system, however the thread was from Jan'07 so thought id better get a more up-to-date opinion....

So guys & girls.... what are you opinions of CyberPowerSystems.co.uk???

or do you have any other places for buying good gaming rigs?

If you are going for seperate parts then I would go with ebuyer
I don't know how they do it even if it is a couple of quid they ALWAYS appear to be the cheapest retailer.

actually i was thinking of buying the machine straight from the company... get one of their rigs, mod it on their site before purchase and have them build it... Spending alot of cash and would like the parts & build warranty...

Hiya mate

I had a laptop last year from them, an MSI x7-700 hybrid, the cost is reasonable from them but the support guys i spoke are very up themselves and then tried to blame me for problems with the laptop.

It didn't come with some of the bits i asked for and they will try most tricks to avoid picking it up for repairs. I was told that it would take 2 weeks for someone to collect it, so iposted it back to them.

It went back to them and took them 2 months to fit a wireless card that i should of have in the first place, the webcam broke 2 months later and all the software they include is trial only.

Good systems at good prices but cocky and arrogant support staff and a very long RMA time.

Not worth the hassle. I would have expected a good service as i payed over £1400 for my laptop.

I only used them as my mate had a really exspensive £2500 PC from them and was well chuffed with it, but for the money the build quality isn't very good, cheap case fans, no cable management.

This is just my opinion on them and i'm sure others have had a very pleasant experience.

Oh Cyberpower Systems are massive in America and are trying to make a name over here in Newcastle i think, but it aint working

If you are gonna shed a load of cash on a ready built PC thats awesome go ALIENWARE.

Sorry, but Alienware PC's are vastly overpriced machines and their backup support is useless. They're owned by Dell.

If I was going to buy a ready built machine I'd go to OCUK; Kustom PC's; Chillblast or Novatech.

They're the only ones I know of, I don't doubt there are others that are good. Maybe Scan and E-Buyer are worth considering as well.

You could pay me for transport to where you live; overnight accomodation at a hotel and one day's labour and I could still build a machine that would be better and cheaper than an Alienware machine.

Not that I'm offering, of course...

Just been checking out ChillBlast.com, they seem to have really competitive prices... Has it got a good reputation?

Hi,

This might be helpful to you. You will allways get some bad reviews on companies but most of them are good. I am sure that people on here have used them to.

I've heard of them, but dont have much knowledge about them.
Wait and see if anyone picks up on them over the next 48 hours.

Most people would be out having fun on a Saturday Night!
But i'm here instead offering you all my vast knowledge!

Chillblast, Kustom PC's and Novatech are the only companies I can recommend 100% tbh.

Chillblast have always been very helpful in my experience. Their prices were once more expensive than most but they're fairly competitive now.

I don't have any opinions on Dell, I'm afraid, as I have no experience of them, I've always built my own.

I've been very pleased with my "PC Specialist UK" PC (their aftersales service was good) and Novatech too, of course.

How about overclockers? do they have a good rep with you guys?

Yes I do not mind them except the snag is they do not offer FREE delivery and always seem to be a bit more expensive than ebuyer.

I prefer ebuyer, I don't know how they do it but they always seem to be the cheapest and if that wasn't good enough free delivery for orders over £49.99.

I don't ever wish to pay even £2 for delivery and £10 for delivery? You need to be senile if you pay are happy with paying this much!
