Where is the Up a level button in Explorer?

Hi...

Windows Explorer (file manager) no longer seems to
have the Up Arrow button (to go up a level in your
directory tree).

Why on Earth would MS have removed such a useful
button from the bar?

Is there a way to bring it back?

Vista has a better way of doing this now. Look for the little black
triangles in the address bar at the top of an explorer window. Click on
one and you can navigate to any position in the folder tree that you
have traversed.

Correct.

Unknown, but it's a popular question.

Not as yet, but from the address bar you can simply click on the upper level
folder in the path as a quick workaround.

My guess is they removed it as it would of been redundant along side
the new address bar.

Vista is not XP, try and adjust your navigation habits to take
advantage of the breadcrumbs in the address bar, you wont regret it.
Once you become use to it you will never want to go back to the old way
of thinking.

No that I use it much but when I click the arrow I . it shows a link at MS
and if I select it take me to the MSN website, tried it on several windows,
same result.
Strange!!!

Ahhh - I had overlooked the little arrows all this time! That makes things
MUCH better! Thanks, Annie.
