where is scandisk?

I looked on my computer for Scandisk under Scheduled Tasks
and I can't find it. Is there another name, or another
place to look?

It's chkdsk in Windows XP.

You certainly would not find anything under Scheduled Tasks that had not
been scheduled, so that's hardly a reasonable place to look.

I found it in just a few seconds, by the complex expedient of opening
"Help and Support" and typing in the lengthy word "scan," which lead me
right to the applet that runs the program.
