Where is my email going???

Every now and then (twice today) I receive an email but I have no idea where
it goes. It doesn't show up in my inbox. However, i can hear the "ding" when
email comes in, and I see the envelope on my toolbar, both of which happen
when an email normally comes in. What is going on? And where is the email
going? The only filter I have is from one email address which sends me
viruses. Otherwise, everything comes in. I get junk mail, random emails,
everything.
I have Outlook 2000.

that ding you hear could be one of those address's sending you email and it
goes directly to your deleted box. next time you hear a ding check your
deleted folder to see if it went in there.
