Where is Internet Explorer Wallpaper saved from the net?

Russ

Hi.

I found an image from the Internet and set it as wallpaper
on my desktop. In Display Properties>Desktop>Background it
is called Internet Explorer Wallpaper.

But where is this image on my hard drives? I've looked
everywhere for it to no avail. Is it archived or encrypted
somewhere? If so, where? And why?

Why isn't this image available for editing? I know I could
have saved this image but assumed setting it as a desktop
background would cause it to be SOMEWHERE on my drives as
a jpg or bmp file.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Rus

Maybe you can find it in one of these locations:

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\My Documents\My Pictures
C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper
C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

Thanks for the reply John.
These were the first places I checked . Not there.
I also used Start>Search>Files and Folders with the *.jpg
and *.bmp command bringing up all the thumbnails on my
computer(100's of them) but still not there.Try it
yourself.
Right click an image on the net and make the image your
desktop background. Now find the image on your computer.
Where is it? It is obviously somewhere on the hard drives.
But where?
Or am I going mad?
Get back to me with your resuts, John.
Thanks.

Maybe the file was a gif....did you search for *.gif?

Sorry, but that's all the info I have.

Yes I checked the .gifs too. I think it was a .jpg.
Anyway, it still puzzles me. If you ever find out maybe
you could e-mail me. Thanks.
