Where is 'contacts' and / or 'addressbook' data stored in Outlook?

Hi folks, especially you MVPs ... does anyone know where I can find the
contact / addressbook data ?

I just recently installed a Small Business Server 2003 and when the users
ran the 'ConnectComputer' script to create a new login account for
themselves ... this script offers to migrate settings from an existing user
on the PC ... so, naturally the users thought this would be a good idea and
put a check mark in the box to have their personal settings etc migrated.

But, it appears that something went wrong ...

1) the Outlook 2000 users got a completely empty new mail account and the
old mail account was deleted.
2) the Outlook XP & 2002 users got their email folders & messages from the
original account, but in a subfolder called 'personal folders'

None of the users have any contact information left at all.

I was able to find an 'orphaned *.pst file' in the outlook folder for the
original user that was migrated ... I imported that file into new user mail
account and the Outlook 2000 users regained their missing email folders &
messages.

But, none of these 'migrated users' have their contact info anymore ... I
would like to figure out where it is and try to import it again.

Can anyone point me to the correct file type & probably location to find it
for the following versions of Outlook:

Outlook 2000
Outlook XP
Outlook 2002

I need to find the missing contact data and restore it to it's original
owner.

TIA,

BPR

Well, I'm a bit red-faced ... but thought you should know, the contact info
was NOT lost.

It was just not where anyone expected it to be.

After figuring out that the contact info should have been in the same *.pst
file that contained the email folders and messages that were transferred
correctly ... I began 'prospecting' in the user's new email client and found
that in the upper left corner of the Outlook 2003 window it is now possible
to select different sources for contact info ... and one of these selections
is actually the 'missing' data, the default however is the Exchange server
provided address book which contains only data about other Local SBS users.

The 'missing contacts' used to be the only choice on the old mail client ...
none of us (me included) expected to have multiple address books after the
migration.

We're not happy with the prospect of having to manage multiple address books
per user, but at least the existing address books have been 'found'.
