Russ,
Thanks for your help. It didn't seem to work.
When I select addressbook on the tool bar it says that it
is bringing up my contact file from personal folders.
But it isn't the right file. When I use the add contact
feature in the addressbook, it puts the new contact in
the personal folders contact file. It is strange that
the file that is being displayed is different from the
one it modifies.
Admittedly I have no idea of the difference between an
Outlook Addressbook and a Personal Addressbook. Are
these different file types, are they stored in different
places? Am I somehow pointing to the wrong one?
I shut up now and listen.
Thanks again for your help.

Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book. If it is not listed, back up one step
and add it. If it is, then click on Change. to make sure the Contacts
folder(s) you want to display are listed. You may need to enable the
Contacts Folder as an e-mail address book by R clicking the Folder >
Properties and check the "Show this folder as an E-mail address book" box.
Make sure you restart Outlook after making these changes.

I just upgraded from Office 2000 to Office XP. In
Outlook my Personal Addressbook was replaced with my
Contact List.
When I go to Contacts, I can see all my old contacts plus
a few I've added in the last day or so. These new
contacts don't make it into the Addressbook in the
Inbox. I would like to solve the contact list problem.
If possible, I'd like my old Outlook 2000 Addressbook
back. Any suggestions?
