I recently purchased my first computer with windows xp. When backing up
Quicken to a cd, the program tells me that xp saves the backup data in a temp
file to burn to a cd later. I did the backup and it was successful, but
cannot tell where it was saved on xp to burn it to the cd.
Can anyone help?

Open Quicken and then choose Backup from the File drop down menu. Take a
look at the location. I always change mine to a folder under My Documents
for further backup to a second computer's second hard drive (all of My
Documents). Now that it's easily located in the folder under My Documents,
simply copy (burn) it to your CD.

It's wherever you told it to put it. You probably just accepted the default
without changing it. To see what the default is, start a backup again and
when prompted for where to put it, make a note of the default location, and
cancel the backup. That's where the last backup is.
