I'm sure the answer is already here, but I can't find
Windows Backup on my computer after installing XP Home
Addition. The book I bought says it is an optional
component on my CD. I can't find it on my CD either.

Hi Dave
The installer for NTBackup
should be on your Windows XP Home installation CD in the
\ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUP folder
However some OEM computer manufactures may choose not to put it on their
CD's.

To install the Backup Utility:
1. Double-click the Ntbackup.msi file in the following location on the
Windows XP Home Edition CD-ROM to start a wizard that installs Backup:
CD-ROM Drive:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP

2. When the wizard is complete, click Finish.

Hi

The Backup program isn't installed as default in XP HE. You can find it on the XP CD in the valueadd\msft\ntbackup folder.
