xp professional - automated backup - do backups delete previous backups?

I have just realised I have this facility (on a Dell hard drive replacement,
the technician installed Professional when I had Home before). It looks
v.good for my purposes. I have a Maxtor backup drive which no longer backs
up incrementally, and I could use as a straight 'other' hard drive for the
XP Backup to backup to. My question is this - I can't find an answer to it
elsewhere - the utility can be scheduled - does the second backup under that
system delete the previous backup, or create a second backup, and so on?

Hi Malcolm,

I use MS Backup occasionally along with other methods of backup, but
none scheduled. Why not fire up the Wizard and see what it offers?

That depends on what you configure it to do. It can do either.
