Where are the shortcut keys stored????

Hank

I recently deleted my Norton Antivirus (long overdue) but I had set it
up so that a "Ctrl+Alt+N" combination would open up the main window
for Norton. When I deleted it I forgot to delete the shortcut key.
In earlier versions (Win98) Tweakui program allowed you to repair
shortcut or hot keys. The version for windowsxp does not. Now if I
hit Ctrl+alt+n it goes off looking for a file that no longer exists.

Anyone able to tell me how to eliminate this shortcut key assigment so
I can use it with my new PC-cillin.

email response not expected but to respond remove .uk at end
TIA

Hank,

This program might help.

RJL Software - Software - Utility - Shortcut Key Explorer:
http://www.rjlsoftware.com/software/utility/shortcutkeys/

Alternately, using Windows Scripting:

Thanks for tip on program. I downloaded it and it does list all the
shortcut keys. However it just allows you to see what they are and to
edit them. BUT it does not allow you to edit a path that no longer
exists or to delete the shortcut entry all together. In short I am
still stuck with the Ctrl+Alt+N assigned to a none existant Norton
Antivirus. Any other suggestions on how to delete this entry?

It seems that if you delete the path and the shortcut key entry when
it is rebooted that shortcut key is freed up for other use. Thanks
again.

Ramesh offered you a different solution, using Windows Scripting:
