When & which will be the next version of MS Word & Excel for Appl.

I am one week away from purchasing an Apple G5 for my high school daughter.
The G5 comes with a demo MS Word and I need to know what the next version of
MS Word and Excel for Apple Computers will be and when they will be available
so I can determine if I can purchase them. How much will they sell for if
sold separately or bundled? Also, what is the current versions of each?

I personally don't know. Most of us in here are Microsoft geeks. Your best
bet would be to contact an Apple retailer and ask them. Here is one where
