Acess 2007 Runtime Compatibility

I have an Access 2002 MDB application which creates files in MS Word & MS
Excel using the data input from user. I am going to purchase a copy of Access
2007 to build a runtime version for clients who do not have MS Access
installed. Will this runtime version's links to MS Word and MS Excel work on
the clients' computers which are still running MS Word 2002 & MS Excel 2002
or do they have to upgrade their Office XP to Office 2007?

Thanks.

You can most certainly do this. However, you might want to expand on what
you mean by "links". If you develop software that automates word and excel,
then your code should work if you late bind...

This idea is explained here:
