When sending an email, my format for font color is purple but tha.

I have my mail format set up as follows...font-verdana, size 14 and color
purple. That is what I see as I type yet it is received in small black font.
I checked in Tools, Options, Mail Format and that is how it is set up. Am I
missing something?
 
You most likely have your e-mails set to send in text form only.
Go to
Tools_Options
Click the "Mail Format" Tab
Send this Message in: "HTML" ----make sure it is set to HTML
