When I copy a picture to a new email it comes out as a jpeg or jif folder.

I am trying to figure out why all the sudden when I copy a picture to a
new email it does not come out as the original picture but as a jpeg or
gif file. Before when I copied & pasted over a picture from one email
to another the same picture wouuld appear. Now I get a folder with
either 1.jpeg or 8_1__209[1].gif Please help.
 
A folder? Inside an email? Sorry, you have to clarify that.

Do you mean an attachment? Is it an HTML or plain text message?
