When I access the internet, I can't seem to send, only receive...

Every time i access the internet, it works fine as long as i don't try
to interact with it too deeply (like logging on to something etc.).
When I do, the page fails to load and I get an error message (the
standard one).

I had the problem before and solved it by re-installing XP, but now it
is back and I'm not sure what is causing it. My virus software checks
out and the spyware filters are on.

I ran a hardware test and that is fine too.

Anybody out there had a similar experience and solved it?

Tx.

Windows has about 6 million "standard" error messages. it would help if you
posted one verbatim.

Thank you.

Hi Gordon,
I'm assuming that you get the standard 404: Page not found. If that's the
case, one thing I would suggest, is that you double check your security
settings associated with the internet (Both ones that are with Windows
Service Pack, and any aftermarket Firewall/Security setup you have installed).

I did have that problem a while back; but discovered that one let things
through normally, but my FSecure had it's setting on something too extreme to
do what you described trying to do.

Hope this may help.
Regards,
Justin
