what ver of ie am i running?

i go to ie, help, about and it displays version 6.0 sp2. i go to
start, run, winver and it displays version 5.1 sp2. what is causing
this?

See IE Help > About > Update versions. If SP2 is displayed here, you're
running the WinXP SP2 version of IE6 SP1. There is no IE6 SP2.

v6.00.2800.1106 is IE6 SP1, v6.00.2900.2180 is IE6 SP1 in WinXP SP2.
 
Thanks Robear, it reads 6.00.2900.2180, so I am running IE6, I must
have misread the tip about using winver to return the IE version.
