what the ZEN is happening

to make things short..having problem with zen Mtp driver(disappeared!!) and
is has been suggested to to delete KB902400 to solve problem but on
attempting to do this i get warning about effect on many many other hotfixes
programs etc
So what do i do ??? niall devine

Have you checked the installed antivirus to see if it detected the
driver as malicious and moved it to Quarantine or somewhere similar ?
Not sure about KB902400 being the culprit here, but doubt it.

Why not download and reinstall the driver from Creative ?

thank you for your reply BUT ive already been on Creative site and attempting
to download driver for my Zen it says no driver available!!.So checking many
reports in past 2 weeks i came across one which said MTP drivers for Zen
VISion M were supplied by Windows ???
I dont undrstand this but hopefully you do and if it is true where
would driver(s) be and did downloading WMP 11 (everything was fine before)

Zen Vision M 30 GB ? It says :

Sorry, no Creative updates are available for the selected query.

The driver is on the CD, it did not come from Windows, AFAIK.
I repeat:
Sometimes a 'bad' virus definition results in a False Positive and
suspect files are removed to a Quarantine. Please check to see if that's
the situation here. Ahhh ... hold on one sec:

How about uninstalling WMP11 from Add/Remove Programs in the Control
Panel, since it seems this issue is directly related to it's installation.

yes im afraid you may be right.In downloading wmp11 i forgot to turn off
steganos(AV) and it kept giving me warning messages and i may have done
something wrong BUt there is no file in quarantine in steganos
two weeks later when i attached ZEN and things fell apart and
getting nowhere with creative i tried to back to wmp10 but rollback gave me
wmp9 and subsequent attempts to install wmp10 would not work(why why why)
so intalled wmp11 again because needed it and thats where i am
today and really im going to have to get on to steganos and creative again
and find this missing/damaged MTP driver file(and no its not on disk)
thank you anyway and never again will i respond "yes" to a
question "there is an update for this program"(wmp10) which gave me the ill
fated wmp11
