What problems that might occur doing an in-place upgrade?

Hi, this might be a general question but I'm just wondering what problems
that most likely occur if i want to do a in-place upgrade. Since my current
Win XP Pro is pirated and i would like to change it to a Original Retail
Version some problems might occur.

Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks.

All you need to do is to purchase a "Full Version" of
Windows XP Professional and perform a "repair install"
using the new CD and Product Key. If performed correctly,
all your existing files will remain intact.

1. You might not have the needed drivers for your hard ward.
2. You might have a damaged CD with some needed files missing.
3. Your current hardware might not be compatable with Windows XP. (Try
running the Compatability Test on the Windos XP CD).
4. You could (and probably will) lose many if not all your old files and
data.
5. Your computer could be infected with trojans and viruses and you might
not be able to complete the install.

and the list goes on!
Advice: GO FOR IT !
