Hi, this might be a general question but I would like to know what problems
might occur doing an in-place upgrade. You see, my current Win XP Pro is a
pirated version and my guess is an in-place upgrade using an Original Retail
Version from a pirated will probably cause some problems. Suggestions from
anyone that have done this kind of in place upgrade is deeply appreciated.

Thanks.

All you need to do is to purchase a "Full Version" of
Windows XP Professional and perform a "repair install"
using the new CD and Product Key. If performed correctly,
all your existing files will remain intact.

Ok thanks a lot coz ! Doing a repair worries me a lot since my cd-r is
spoiled and reformatting is out of the question since i cant do any backup.
Hopefully everything will be fine once i do the repair install with my newly
bought full version.
