What picture viewer is my default on Windows XP

I recently purchased a program to make a family history
CD. When I scan my pictures and add them to the pictures
to be included on this program, sometimes I get an error
message 37 and the picture does not come up when I push
the open buttom. The picture shows a thumbnail view and
a details view. The default viewer that is bringing up
the pictures is Quicktime. Do I have a default viewer in
Windows XP that I can use instead. I know that when I go
into my pictures and slide shows, etc. the pictures come
up. I would prefer to use a program that is part of the
XP software if it is there.

To reset your image file associations:

Try this...right click an image file and
from the menu, go to......Open With /
Choose Program / Windows Picture
and Fax Viewer...be sure to check the
box..."Always use the selected program
to open this kind of file".

If you right click an image and choose...
*Edit*...MSPaint should open the image..
