What is the SPAM Policy of these groups?

I hate it when people use acronym LOL, but this really made me L.O.L.
You are planning to introduce a product in half year and start SPAMming
campaign (have a look at all the fibers of this thread) now? I really
couldn't understand why you didn't put it into your signature, now I know,
it's top secret :-)
I can't wait for release! Hope it will be under 1000 dollars, our budget
dpt. disallows buying any software more expensive than that without huge
choicing procedure among at least 5 vendors.

I have a new software product that I need to promote. I want to get the maximum
exposure. This product is very relevant to all the MS Windows programming
groups. How can I best promote this new software for maximum exposure without
violating any SPAM policies?

Announce it ONCE on any newsgroups where it is genuinely relevant. A
major new version might also merit an announcement if at least a year
has passed.

Put it in your signature, but keep it short.

Anything more is spam.

Your advice seems to be the consensus.

This guy has been asking intriging questions on this group for a while
without telling anyone why he wanted to do the things he do. So, I've been
waiting to see what it was all about. Surely, he can reference his previous
posts and then give a link to the product that it was all in aid of ?

It is a MS Windows developer only product, that is a fact. It is a software
component. It is also unique, that is another fact. It provides a functional
benefit that is not available through any other means, one more fact. There are
applications for this unique functional benefit that are of significant
commercial value. That is a fact, except for the degree of commercial value,
that is an opinion.
