I use Win XP Pro, and have all the updates, a PIII w/750 CPU. I use this
computer at work, and we use a Ethernet network there. My browser was
always pretty fast, and all of a sudden it is crawling. I usually have 6
windows, I input one, and then it goes to the next window. Now I have to
wait soooooo long for each window to finish. Is there a program that
will help me with finding out what may be the cause of the slowdown. I
checked with our center that gets the info that I put into the pages.
They have no slowdown, as far as what they can see. We did some pinging
and some tracert stuff, but we didn't find anything unusual. I think I
probably have a program, that is loading, and it is taking up too much
memory or something like that. Is there a way, or a program that could
let me unload a program? I tried it with End It All, but forgot, that I
probably need to reboot, to see if the program caused the slowdown.
Anyway, Any help is appreciated..........Peter

maybe some kind of (spy/mal)ware, there are a lot of applications to search
and destroy this kind of threats... just try ad-aware from
http://www.lavasoft.de/

hope it helps.

Thanks or the help, on this. I forgot, I do run Ad-Aware and Spybot
every other day. The first thing our IT guy said, when I told him about
my problem was, if you have Ad-Aware, un-install it, that is causing
it. I've been using Ad-Aware for years, w/o a problem. I don't think he
is right........Peter

only the browser is slow or all the system?
